September 10, 2025As most of you know, the 2025 model year will be the final year of production of Yamaha snowmobiles, and as such, each model sold this year will feature a “Final Edition” emblem affixed to the cowling. In addition, the very last machine, a blue Sidewinder® SRX, number 998 of 998 produced,
will beauctioned off on bringatrailer.com with the winning bid to be announced at the EagleRiver World Championship event scheduled for February. All proceeds from both YMUSand YMCA will benefit the North AmericanSnowmobile Foundation. In celebration of this last model year, one
of the oldest Yamaha snowmobile dealers in the U.S., Donahue Super Sports, located in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, celebrated Yamaha history and its 57 years in the business by inviting owners of vintage Yamaha snowmobiles and past Champions for a day of celebration. In attendance were past
Champions Mike Trapp, winner of the famous 1971 Eagle River World Championship, Tim Bender, and owner of the dealership, Bobby Donahue, himself a former Yamaha snowmobile Champion.
All told, at least 200 historic Yamaha snowmobiles were on display
at an event that will long be remembered by Yamaha snowmobile fans throughout the snowbelt.
