Rest in peace Mike Bell
Yamaha, January 25, 2021It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of 1980 Supercross Champion and Yamaha Wall of Champions Inductee Mike “Too Tall” Bell. The 63-year-old reportedly suffered a heart attack while mountain biking on January 24, 2021. Mike rode for Team Yamaha his entire seven-year professional career, winning a total of 20 AMA® and Trans-AMA® events. After retiring from his love of racing, Mike stayed within the motorcycle industry working for both White Brothers and Oakley®. Mike will be remembered by all who knew him as simply a wonderful human being and our “One Yamaha” hearts go out to his family and friends. Godspeed Mike Bell.
