Ben Speciale, president of Yamaha Marine’s U.S. business, was recently elected Chairman of the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s (NMMA®) Board of Directors. The vote was held earlier this month at the International Boat Builders’ Exhibition and Conference, or IBEX, in Tampa, Florida. The NMMA® elects Board members annually, and all members serve two-year terms that run through the organization’s Board meeting at IBEX.
“My goal will help facilitate different activities at NMMA®,” Speciale told Trade Only Today last week at IBEX, shortly after he was voted chairman. “We’re going to continue on the path of advocacy, and I’ll try to push harder in that area. It’s important that we protect our access to the water. At the same time, we’ll migrate some of our efforts to state legislative issues, especially in the Midwest and South, where boating could be impacted.”
From all your colleagues here at Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., many congratulations to you Ben!
